1900- Most longer hair styles would have a noticeable part in the middle, and long waves hanging below the shoulders. Shorter hairstyles generally covered the ears and ‘poofed’ up over the head in several up-do styles; these shorter hairstyles would also offer have a middle part.

1920- In the 1920’s was the invention of the bob. Sleek short or wavy bob cuts, heavy fringes, waves, headbands, floppy bows, feathers. When the bob became highly popular it created a high amount of controversy for it's self.

1940- Hair styles were very glamorous, Perfectionist styles with sophisticated waves and curls. The hair was voluminous and longer than hair from the last two decades.

1960- The bouffant hairstyle sent women everywhere running to the closest drug store to get themselves cans and cans of hairspray. The bouffant is tall and wide with the ends of the hair flipping out or under. Then there was the creation of the beehive, with this women would lose the width and focus solely on how high they could pile their hair.

1980- Another era where the women would be running for the drug stores to stock up on their hairspray. Big, sprayed, curled, permed, highlighted, or easy care for with layered hair, or the wash and leave perm. This era saw the popularity of the mullet haircut; we all know how well that one went over...

1990- The hairstyles of the 90s weren’t as big and extreme as the 80s. Many were still large, but they were refined back, sexy and natural looking.

2000- Never before has there been so many hair styles of the past revisited and updated as in the last few years. Everything from finger waves to bobs to pixies to shags, and so on and so on.
